Etisalat Dlink DSL 2750U Router Setting for eLife Broadband Connection

a) For new firmware (this is updated content: 11 Nov 2012)

 Login into the router
1. Connect your laptop and router ethernet port 2 or 3 with CAT6 patch cable.
2. Type address http://192.168.1.1, type username as admin and password as admin

Wireless Configuration
3. Go to Wireless tab > Click Basic link

 

• Select the Enable Wireless option
• Type your wifi name in SSID option 
• Click Apply/Save button

4. Go toWireless tab > Click Security link

• Select Disable option on Enable WPS field [optional]
• Select WPA-Personal and Auto option
• Give wireless password on Select WPA/WAPI password field
• Select TKIP+AES option
• Click Apply/Save button

Internet Configuration

5. Click Advanced Setup > WAN Service

•  Click Edit button of ppp1.1
  
  
  
• On new page, give username and password
• deselect the Enable Firewall option and select Enable NAT option
• select Enable KeepAlive option and click Next
  
  
  
• on next page click Apply/Save button
• Restart your router

Login into the router
1. Connect your laptop and router ethernet port 2 or 3 with CAT6 patch cable.
2. Type address http://192.168.1.1, type username as admin and password as admin

Wireless Configuration
3. Go to Wireless tab > Click Basic link

• Select the Enable Wireless option
• Type your wifi name in SSID option 
• Click Apply/Save button

4. Go toWireless tab > Click Security link

• Select Disable option on Enable WPS field
• Give wireless password on Select WPA/WAPI password field
• Click Apply/Save button

Internet Configuration
5. Click Advanced Setup > Click Layer2 Interface > Click ETH Interface link

•  Click Add button > Select eth0/LAN4 option from dropdown menu.
•  Select Default Mode
• Click Apply/Save button

 6. Click WAN Service link

• Click Add button
• Select eth0/LAN4 from dropdown menu > Click Next button
• Select PPP over Ethernet option > Click Next button
• Type the username and password as provided by service provider
• Click Next > Next > Next > Click Apply/Save button

Final Step
7. Click Management link > Click Reboot link > Click Reboot button
8. Connect the ONT port number 1 (by default) to the router ethernet port number 4 using CAT6 patch cable.
9. Wait few minutes, the Globe icon on router will go green, which ensures the internet is working, if it is red, then there could be problem of

• username and/or password
• ONT is not responding
• CAT6 patch cable is faulty
• CAT6 patch cable is not connected properly with ONT and Router
